BIBBLEBONK OVERVIEW Bibblebonk is a game played on an oval table with three tracks. Three balls are released onto the tracks. A series of bridges, tunnels, and gates randomly move the balls from track to track. At the end of each track is a small sleeping animal called a bibble. When a ball hits a bibble, it wakes up for a moment and shouts a number. Players bet on how many balls will hit which bibble, and what numbers the bibbles will shout. The bonkier (pronounced BAHN-KEE-YAY) stands in the center of the table, monitoring the game and paying the winners. THE TYPES OF BETS Bibble Bonk Bets allow players to bet on how many balls will hit which bibble. For example, a Double Bottom Bibble bet will pay off if two (and only two) balls hit the bottom bibble. Bibble Bonk Bets are placed in the left side of the betting area. Bibble Babble Bets allow players to bet on what numbers the bibbles will shout. For example, Single Four bet will pay off if the bibbles say "4" at least once. (In other words, the only condition it would NOT pay off is if none of the three bibbles shouted "4".) Bibble Babble Bets are placed on the right side of the betting area. HOW TO BET When you play Bibblebonk, you insert your credit chip into the table and your current credits are displayed in the "Your Credits" area. To bet, click on a spot where you would like to place a bet, such as the Zip Top Bibble on the Bibble Bonk Bet side. This will highlight that spot. Next, press on one or more of the Amount Buttons in the center of the betting area to place a bet of any amount on that spot. You may never bet more than the amount of credits you have. As with a game such as Roulette, you can place bets on as many different spots as you like. Once you have finished placing bets, press the "Ready" Button to let the bonkier know that you are ready for the balls to be released. Once the three balls have struck the bibbles, the bonkier will announce any winners. Your winnings will be automatically added to your credit chip. Note that payoffs are always rounded down to the nearest whole credit. (Therefore, for example, only a sucker would bet less than 4 credits on a bet that pays 5:4, since with rounding the BEST you can do on such a bet is to get back your original stake.) THE ODDS Because of the arrangement of gates, bridges, and tunnels, balls have a 20% chance of hitting the top bibble, a 50% chance of hitting the middle bibble, and a 30% chance of hitting the bottom bibble. Top bibbles are trained to shout a number from "1" to "4"; middle bibbles are trained to shout a number from "1" to "3", and bottom bibbles are trained to shout "1" or "2". A bibble has the same chance of shouting each of its numbers; that is, the middle bibble will say "1" one-third of the time. Thus, it is clear why a Trip Four bet has such a high payoff; since only the top bibble says "4", all three balls must hit the top bibble and THEN the top bibble must say "4" all three times. This happens in only one out of every 8000 plays. The payoffs displayed in the betting area are the universal standard Bibblebonk payoffs. The Interstellar Federation of Bibblebonk Gaming advises patrons of less reputable establishments to be wary; the "house" has the ability to change the actual payoffs without necessarily changing the displayed payoffs. BIBBLEBONK LORE Bibbles are trained to shout their numbers by a small number of major casino supply companies. Despite claims that bibble training is conducted under the most humane conditions, casino supply companies are constantly being picketed by animal rights groups, such as the Bibble Buddy Brigade. Bibbles are very easy to train. Casino supply companies certify their bibbles for complete reliability and randomness, ensuring that, for example, a middle bibble will always say "2" one-third of the time. At the beginning of each shift, the new bonkier will dispose of the old bibbles, taking three new ones out of their celophane wrappers and putting them onto their respective tracks. The old bibbles are often sold as souvenirs; they maintain their number-calling habits for a while, but soon begin saying "ouch" when hit. After a while, they begin saying other things when hit and can no longer be demonstrated in polite company. Your bonkier will be happy to provide you with even more Bibblebonk lore.
